Brownie & Guide Blogs - Leaders Group

17.11.2010 : Old Friends

We've started getting festive now and the past couple of weeks we have spent making Christmas decorations, cards and have even turned our hand at a little cross stitch which has proved a bit tricky for some of the girls!
Nevertheless, I'm sure they will all give it their very best to finish off next week in time for our grand finale evening of Christmas Karaoke. (Now, should I invest in some good quality soundproofing beforehand...!) I also had the pleasure of 'Guide sitting' for Emma on Tuesday this week (a first for me - sitting guides as I've always been a brownie guider!) and was pleased to see a couple of our own past brownies in attendance. I'm sure they've grown in inches since the summer!
I must say, they seemed to have settled in really well and are oh so grown up now. Where does all that time go to?
It made me smile to myself though when both of them asked when they can come back to brownies to be pack leaders. (they've only just left this term!) Still, it's lovely to see they continue to love Brownies and want to be part of it all. I get a little lump in my throat.....
At the rate we are going it looks like I'll have more pack leaders than grown up leaders this time next year!!! And I'm certainly not complaining. Maybe we need the larger hall......;-)
